008 --- Skimstone® PRO re-scheduled$650.00 re-scheduled 9:00 am – 4:30 pm @ $650 This is the 2-day workshop where students will have intensive hands-on experience with Skimstone® concentrating on special effects for floors and applications to laminate countertops. Course will include 4 sample boards, completion of work on a laminated countertop, and actual time on knees applying. Use of Modello ™ masking will also be introduced. Upon completion of the 2-day workshop, students receive a certificate of attendance and are posted on the Skimstone® website as a "Preferred Applicator". 009 --- Skimstone® - Countertops and Beyond re-scheduled$650.00 re-scheduled 9:00 am – 4:30 pm @ $650 Are you wanting to update your laminate countertops, or build your current portfolio with one of the most sought after finishes in the industry? The complete Skimstone® system for use on laminated and tiled countertops will be demonstrated and discussed. Special attention will be given to the Skimstone® Primer. In this 2-day workshop students will also learn complex color combinations, additives such as sand and tumbled glass, and a variety of additional finishing sealants. We will concentrate on the application of Skimstone® to walls/vertical surfaces. If you love working Skimstone® and want to learn what else you can do with it to ‘Wow’ clients, this class is a must. 010 --- Lying Leopard Mural Class / Sal & Nancy Moccia DATE TBA$285.00 Create a Leopard mural for your portfolio. We will be hand painting a leopard lying in wait amongst the jungle foliage with a friendly toucan looking on. We will be working on a piece of canvas approximately 24x36. 011 --- Asian Cherry Blossom Screen DATE TBA$275.00 Add diversity to your portfolio with an asian style panel. We will be creating a canvas panel approximately 24"x30". The panel can be used on its own as a wall hanging or by adding an additional panel or 2 at home you can create a great screen. We will first leaf and antique our panel. Than transfer our design elements of a branch with cherry blossoms and bird sitting on its limbs and proceed to hand paint our panel. 005 --- SILK PAINTING -- $80.00 If you love color, this medium is for you. Use stencils and other templates as a starting point for painting on silk. Learn techniques such as serti (resist), watercolor, gutta and salting to create a dramatic silk painting. you will be provided with two 30"x30" silk scarves, as well as practice swatches and paint. First a skeleton fossil including dimensional stenciling and imprinting with sandstone, powder pigments and waxes. Next, a sea bottom fossil with shells, powder pigments and waxes. Then, a stone block finish with stenciled embedded leaves. Last, leaf skeletons and antique waxes.
